In a forest full of green trees and bright flowers, there lived a puppy named Vitya. Vitya was kind and cheerful, but he always had one big problem — he couldn't be confident. Vitya often knew what he wanted, but didn't know how to say it. He loved playing with other animals in the forest, but when someone suggested something new or made decisions for him, he couldn't even voice his opinion. Vitya was always afraid that no one would listen to him or understand him.
This was especially noticeable when he was with his friends: the bunny Misha, the fox Sonia, and the hedgehog Sasha. They were always decisive, had many ideas, and quickly figured out what to do. Vitya, on the other hand, often couldn't decide what to do. If his friends wanted to go to one place, Vitya stayed silent, even though he dreamed of going somewhere else. Sometimes, when one of the animals joked or teased him, Vitya felt that he needed to say something in response, but fear stopped him from doing so.
One day, while playing with his friends by the forest lake, Vitya noticed that they were discussing something.
"Let's go to the empty meadow," said Misha, the bunny, happily hopping around.
Vitya, standing aside, thought quietly to himself, "I don't want to go there, I want to look at the clouds in the sky and sit in the shade of the big oak tree." But Vitya didn't say anything because he was afraid his opinion wouldn't matter. At that moment, the fox Sonia looked at him and said:
"Vitya, are you coming with us?"
But Vitya just shook his head, not knowing what to say. He felt out of place, as if his desires didn't matter. His friends went ahead, and Vitya stayed behind, gazing at the water and wondering why it was so difficult for him to say what he wanted. This feeling of emptiness in his chest didn't leave him.
The next day, when Vitya returned to the lake to be alone and collect his thoughts, he noticed something strange: by the shore sat a Sheep, glowing with a soft, warm light. The Sheep was unusual — her wool shimmered in different shades like a rainbow after rain.
Vitya approached and sat down next to her in surprise. The Sheep quietly spoke:
"Hello, little puppy Vitya. I know how you feel. You're afraid to lead, afraid to say what you want, and don't always know what to do. But I can help you."
"You can help me?" Vitya asked in surprise. "But how? I always feel like I can't be like everyone else, I can't make decisions, and I'm afraid of hurting someone with my opinion."
The Sheep glowed brighter and answered:
"Yes, I can help you. I am a magical sheep, and I have a power that will help you become confident. Close your eyes and think about what you truly want. When you open your eyes, you will feel confidence fill your heart."
Vitya closed his eyes, and his thoughts became bright and clear. He imagined himself confidently talking with his friends, how his opinion mattered, how he wasn't afraid to offer ideas and say "no" when something didn't feel right. When he opened his eyes, there was peace in his chest, and his heart was full of strength.
Vitya felt his gaze change, as if he could now look at the world in a new way. He was no longer afraid to be himself, no longer afraid to express his desires. The next time his friends suggested going to one place, Vitya said:
"I want to go somewhere else, to sit in the shade under the oak tree and watch the clouds. Who wants to join me?"
His friends were surprised but happily agreed. Vitya realized that his desires mattered, and that he could be a leader not because of strength, but because he could listen and speak about his own needs.

The fairy tale teaches that each of us can be confident if we learn to listen to our desires and not be afraid to express them. It's important not only to listen to others but also to take care of ourselves, respect our needs, and boldly speak about them.
